Testimonial #2: Maintenance, MAY 2020

I have been training with Jackie now for over six years. I initially began with her from a nudge by my twin sister. Six years ago I did ZERO physical activity—let alone weight training! Since day 1, Jackie welcomed me with open arms and worked with me to not just ‘get in good shape’ but grow a strong physical foundation that I am SO proud of. This foundation has allowed me to increase my stamina and power. She has taught me how to lift with perfect form, resulting in progressive physical changes in my body with absolutely zero injuries.

 Jackie is not just a coach, but the BEST motivator in general. Just when your mind tells you ‘this weight is too heavy’…Jackie knows you can do those last few reps, no problem. She has taught me that my limit is far from where I think it is. She knows exactly when to push and how far. She is her client’s #1 fan and nothing makes her happier than seeing them succeed.

 I had the most physical transformation about 2 years ago. I think the hardest part about dropping weight is keeping it off. Jackie has taught me how to maintain and still feel strong for YEARS. I would not have been able to do this without her. I have learned what consistency and hard work means with Jackie. Her programs are smart and intentional, challenging her clients in ways I don’t think they have ever been challenged before.

My personal life has been filled with medical issues, so the fact that I was able to grow this strong body (and maintain it) is extremely special to me—and I credit it all to Jackie. I am grateful to be able to get up out of bed, take a deep breath, throw my workout clothes on, and begin a Ms Jackie Fitness class! I can’t forget to mention that I have ran FOUR half marathons alongside Jackie within the last few years and kicked butt because of her. Thank you Jackie for pushing my limits and getting me to a place of a strong, capable, and healthy body!


Testimonial #1: Health First, FEBRUARY 2017

My journey with Ms. Jackie began when my twin sister introduced me to her at Reign Training Center in 2014. Little did I know, this person I was meeting would completely change my life. I still remember my very first workout with Jackie. I had no clue how to lift a weight or use proper form. I looked at all of the machines in fear, not having any idea where to put what body part. I was absolutely winded after the Jackie’s workout. My sister had wanted me to take Jackie’s class for a while at this point. Fear and intimidation always got in the way, until a few days before our 23rd birthday, I faced my fear and went. It was one of the greatest decisions that I had ever made.

Before Ms. Jackie, I performed no physical activity. Between when I was 20-22, I had lots of medical issues and was not well enough to be able to exercise. Growing up I played soccer, ran here and there, and always thought that I was an athletic person. However, I had no experience using weights, or performing strength and conditioning exercises. Right before I made the decision to go to Jackie’s class, I felt slow, fatigued, and not as confident in my own skin as I had been in the past. It felt like the perfect moment to make a change. I began going regularly to Jackie and I was having fun. Pure fun and excitement. She is so sweet and encouraging, but at the same time, she is tough and knows exactly when and where to push you. Going to her classes helped me become more aware of my body—Ms. Jackie helped me to truly think, “Which muscles am I working? How is my breathing?” These thoughts never crossed my mind in the past. It made me more concentrated and it pushed me harder.

I had corrective surgery for scoliosis when I was younger and have always felt stiff ever since. I always said to myself, “I can’t do this exercise. I will never be able to do that.” Jackie has helped me completely diminish these thoughts. Because of her, my core is strong and these exercises that I thought I could never do, I am now doing with little struggle. She modifies the exercises for my restraints, that are still just as challenging. Jackie has helped me with diminishing my self-doubts. She has taught me that “never” should not exist in my vocabulary. After training with her for just a short few months, I decided to pursue yoga teacher training in the summer. Because of her, I gained confidence within my self and my abilities and went after a goal I never thought that I could do. It was one of the most fulfilling and best things I could have ever done, and she is to thank. Jackie had not only changed my outer appearance, but she has made me strong mentally, she has made me feel empowered and confident. Words can never describe just how thankful I am to have her in my life, not only has my trainer, but as my amazing friend and life coach.
